Toyota Prius

Toyota plans a version of the Prius with a bigger engine

The Toyota Prius hybrid car is the most popular brand in the U.S. and Toyota seems ready to take advantage of current success, adding a new model to the line. A second Toyota Prius would give more options to eager consumers, while the manufacturer would be in a position to spread development costs between two Toyota Prius models. The new hybrid Toyota , should make his debut in 2009 and until that happens, the Japanese giant may speed the development and refinement of its Hybrid Synergy Drive system.

Trying to adapt to U.S. tastes, the new vehicle will have a bigger engine which is expected to be in the range of Toyota Prius 2.5 to 3 liters. Hopefully, a change in outward appearance also be considered. The plans for world domination of Toyota include the goal of selling one million hybrids by Toyota Prius 2010. We have no clear whether this figure includes all Toyota Prius sold since its launch or only of that year.
